Remember this post on how emo i was rambling about Mr Fiance's firm decision about surprising me the wedding ring? Oh yeah, he decided to get it himself without my jurisdiction. Konon nya nak bagi seikhlas hati luhur dari hati dan itu pemberian ikhlas dari sang suami kepada isteri tercinta. Ok, mak mengamuk mula mula ok! Dan dia telah memberi khutbah dan hujah2 pasal kenapa nak terpengaruh dengan the technicality of the ring. Does it matter if the ring ada cert atau tak etc etc etc... Rasa nak nangis masa tu ok.. Tapi setelah berzikir dan berdoa, maka mak mengalah.

Apa salahnya biarkan dia rasa bangga bila tgk cincin pemberian ikhlas di jari manis sang isteri kan? (ayat psycho diri) So i decided to close the chapter and go on my life macam biasa until my nikah day. Hahah, yes he decided to surprise me on my nikah day. Ok, maka saya pun bertawakal kepada yang maha esa moga cincin tu menepati cita rasa.. 4c, o.4carat, D/E color, GIA cert or better stil HOF. (ish tak sedar sedar diri jugakkan? gurau je) heheh..

3 bulan telah berlalu, maka hari ini (walaupun saya belum lagi bernikah hari ini) tetapi Mr Fiance sudah memberi teaser.. Kotak biru menjadi bukti. Dan ia adalah...

i just got back from my 2nd trip to jakarta. this time is to collect all my doorgifts, kad kawin, doorgift VIP, dan acara susulan menyelam sambil minum air is buat langsir, and custom made my bedding sheets and cover! Di samping membeli corset dan barangan lain utk dijual....

saya terlalu penat untuk blog hari ini.. tunggu post seterusnya bila otot-otot tangan dan otak kembali berfungsi secara normal...

perihal bunga pahar.. DIY.

Mak aih.. mahalnya bunga pahar dip. one pair can reach RM10-RM15. So dengan semangat yang jitu i told myself.. why not DIY? rasa special sikit.. So, bermula lah upacara menggoogle "bagaimana hendak buat bunga dip". Browse punya browse, from one youtube to another disertai dengan maki serapah sebab internet connection yang selow. I bumped into one site yang tunjuk a nice tutorial.

After melihat semangat yang hampir menurun melonjak kembali.. so, bermula lah sesi mencari bahan mentah.. tak taulah apa hasilnya.. tapi kalau tgk pun rumit.. buat berganda-ganda lagi rumit. Sekarang baru saya faham kenapa harga bunga dip mahal. Nanti kalau menjadi i will share my own version of how-tos.

Perihal DIY Kotak Favor

DIY stuffs never fail to amaze me.. especially when it looks very profesional but with the use of recycled items.

So, dengan semangat membara i went to the nearest stationary shop. Carik kertas yang sesuai dengan tema warna dan urusan menggoogle bermula. Ada banyak site yang tunjuk step by step untuk buat kotak.. Di dapur ada doily paper yang dah berabuk tak guna. Rasanya 3 tahun lepas punya beli untuk alas biskut raya.

Jadi setelah mengukur dan tertonggeng-tonggeng seharian.. inilah hasilnya :

tiba-tiba teringat kata-kata nyonya kat kedai kertas tu:

"Wah, lu mau bikin itu kotak sendiri? Mau bikin 1000 lu nangis wo!"

Nampaknya terpaksa kuburkan niat nak buat kotak DIY utk doorgift. Sebab buat satu pun terkial2 nak gunting kertas yang tebal tuh. Sampai terpeleot jari.

"Kalau 100 pun wa nangis wo aunty!"

Perihal DIY Kad Kahwin

Bila nak kawin ni macam macam idea dalam kepala.. pastu mula lah nak gabra sorang sorang. I decided to design my own card. Nothing fancy, nothing extravaganza.. tapi ngada tak kalau nak DIY renda renda and manik ala swarovsky bagai. Ye, kad kawin saya bercita cita tinggi. Tapi akan cuba dilaksanakan dengan harga tak lebih RM2. Thats my ceiling. So, renda dah beli during my trip to Jakarta. Lace kan murah.. and manik pernik juga sudah dibeli di jakarta..

cost untuk 400pc of card:
Semi hardcover with 2 colored inserts for walimatul and map, embossed hot foil from De Karda quoted me RM1.70/each
Lace 1 roll RP30.000 x 3 = Rp90.000 (RM31)
Manik pernik ala swarovsky 1pc Rp400 x 400 biji = Rp160.000 (RM56)
Total utk manik+lace untuk satu kad = RM0.20

so 1 kad RM1.70 + RM0.20 = RM1.90. and i get lace and bead for my card!

wuhuuu... berbaloi kan? kalau kat sini nak request lace and manik gerenti vendor quote kaw kaw.

Urusan drafting baru finalize tadi dengan De Karda, now I can't wait for my card.. lepas tu urusan DIY lace and manik..

Perihal Kad Kahwin and such!

My Jakarta trip wasn't that successful.. Yeah i am happy with my kain kain hunting. I got what i want.. (will write more on my kain hunting trip to jakarta in a next post.. too long but interesting) but there is still long list of things weren't accomplished. To name few is my wedding card.

Kononnya nak pegi Pasar Tebet, Jakarta and hunt for wedding card. Orang kata kat situ memang pusat kad kawin. Syorga! But i didn't manage to go.. Y? because masa tak cukup y'all! sedihnya.. Lokasi Pasar Tebet ni ialah di Jakarta Selatan. Waktu operasi 9.30-6ptg. Tapi its kinda hassle kalau nak pergi trip to jakarta 2 kali untuk order and untuk collect. So the other option to do to save cost is to do it online. Zaman skarang bercinta pun bleh pakai online.. khidmat sex pun orang boleh pakai online. so setakat nak buat kad kawin.. online pun boleh maa.. Lepas tu minta diorang post to Malaysia. A friend of mine was charged RM500 for a 1500pc of hardcover cards for postage. Tu baru card, if you all ada doorgifts, bakul, ceramic, bla bla.. harga postage lain ok. So if you think buying things in Jakarta is cheap. Yes, its comparatively cheap. but do consider postage.. bukan murah tau. Kira2 balik mungkin sama aje total cost kalau beli kat Malaysia negaraku tercinta.

Cintake? Guess what?? I still buy all my stuffs in Jakarta! hahah.. poyo aje kan.. i will tell you why and how.. Since my first trip wasn't really fruitful.. but i managed to get contacts just in case there is a second trip ke.. So, after calculation on shipping cost for all items yang i plan nak beli kat jakarta.. i decided to make a come back and collect all my ordered stuff by myself.. Ticket cuma RM350 inclusive return ticket + tax + maximum baggage and roastchick + kopi. (roastchick air asia sedap ok). Not bad huh? And i get to bring all my stuffs including kad kawin and doorgifts sendiri.. suruh diorang post to hotel je. Orang di Jakarta ni memang business minded and very very competetive. They are willing to go extra miles for you. Tapi kita as pengguna kena bijak.. jgn sampai terpijak. And dah alang2 sampai jakarta tu belila barang2 lain such as corset.. accessories.. barang2 yang i plan nak meniaga such as jubah or kaftans.. (will upload hasil hasilnya nanti.. boleh you all beli untuk Raya). Kira ok la kan trip tu..

Hahaha.. i ni selalu meleret citer pasal benda lain. This post is supposed to be about my wedding card. Ok, back to the main topic, i made my card with De Karda. Had good reviews from my niece and sedara mara. They did their card with them. I need someone who speaks good language (understandable indonesian language or better still english), cekap beronline and efficient. Maklumla.. online. I have googled a lot, asked for quotations and such.. but only some manage to respond promptly. Biasala.. brides kan cerewet, nak cepat and nak dilayan seperti permaisuri.. betul tak? Tapi budget ciput. ngada ok. I also managed to compare price locally and dari seberang. Memang ternyata.. design dari Indonesia memang lagi creative and hebat-hebat y'all!

I designed my own card. I am a very imaginative person. Sume nak buat sendiri kalau boleh.. siap renda renda and manik ala swarovsky bagai! ngada ok. baju kawin pun i design sendiri (will come to that later). So i managed to compare price kad kawin di Jalan Pudu and di Jakarta. Di Jalan Pudu ada satu kedai Melayu ni (diorang boleh buat custom box yang lawa-lawa juga). For a simple hardcover card that i designed price at Jalan Pudu RM3.50. (not bad.. he claimed his price is the cheapest compared to others). Nama kedai Firma Kreatif. Nak tau berapa Jakarta vendor, De Karda quote i? USD0.60. (around RM1.70) So its always be half the price in Indonesia, plus you get creative designs!

I am not saying you should get your card in Indonesia.. but if you plan a trip make it worth while. Borong terus benda benda lain such as doorgifts, kotak favors, kain, langsir ke.. hahha.. study and buat checklist before planning your trip. Kalau nak lagi bagus, google dulu list of vendors yang you all nak visit.. contact them via email first, so your trip will be more cost effective.

April Fool???!!

I don't remember the last time i had April fooled. 10 years ago? (eh, this makes me sound so old la pulak).. April fools are lame and meant for kids. But did I just had one today? Mr Fiance is full with surprises these days.. I had enough headaches with my clients today and i don't think i'm ready for another annoying behaviour ..

I was chatting with Mr Fiance today regarding hantaran & wedding bands until he blurbs :

him : " I think let me buy the wedding ring for you"
me : "of course la you belikan.. what do you mean?? what? you want to get my ring WITHOUT me?"
him : "yes. isn't barang hantaran and cincin is a gift from a guy to the girl? if its a gift then let me buy for you la.. "

ini bukan zaman 80an ok!!!!!!

me : "is this because you takut i pilih cincin mahal and you takut you tak mampu nak bayar?"
him : "partly yes, and i akan beli ikut kemampuan i"

rasa jantung stop 6 saat. piano hari tu pun tak angkat lagi dari kepala ni .. now another broken piano???

me : *silent* (dlm hati : memang la aku nak cincin GIA cert bagai tapi i know the limit la.. if he can't afford it i can totally compromise .. worst comes to worst i can topup skit ke if i still want my dream ring. Takdela aku nak beli 1 carat ring.. but his clearcut decision makes me feel rasa nak campak diri dlm gaung)

him : trust me dear, i will find the best ring i could give. Itu betul betul hadiah from me to you.. biar i pilih, biar i beli, then its up to you nak terima my gift to you or not.
me : *silent* (dlm hati: maybe nak surprisekan aku dengan cincin tiffany kot!~ ok, dream on. this is unfair its a do or die deal!)
him : lepas kawin dah ada duit baru beli betul betul dengan you..
me : *silent* (dalam hati: gotcha!!! so betul la nak beli cincin senyap2 without me sbb nak beli off the rack cheapo ring but nampak macam 2 carat ring!!!!!!!! kalau beli sama2 gerenti kantoi.)

syaitan dah merasuk dalam jiwa. i know the bad person in me has spoken and mengapi2 kan situation. Luckily there is still the angel in me calming me to keep my mouth shut and just let him speak and berhujah about the concept of marriage. Dalam hati meletup2 nih..

i know another word coming from my mouth is going to cause tsunami. so i decided to take a break to pray, zikir and sleep.

me : "i need rest. i nak tido."
him : "i know this kind of conversation makes you down.. but.."

i put my iphone into flight mode. i need a break. Deep down i know that is definitely NOT his intention. being a traditional guy he values the concept of marriage but i'm being an emo and knowing that i have to keep thinking and wondering how my ring is going to look like until my akad day is KILLING me! 5 months to go :( this definitely bring the bridezilla out of me..

Ya Allah, berikan aku ketenangan and jauhkan aku dari perasaan tamak.
